Community Partners

Columbia World Affairs Council

The World Affairs Council works to expand and deepen public awareness of international activities in the Midlands of South Carolina, to promote South Carolina as a world-class state, and to serve as a catalyst for building positive relationships between the state and the rest of the world.

The Columbia World Affairs Council is a valued community partner of the Walker Institute. Working together allows us to leverage resources and extend our internationalization efforts into the local community. The Director of the Walker Institute also serves on the board of the CWAC. Dr. Robert Cox has been a board member since December 2012.
